Working on that Covered Vinyl Head Again
Change from the way she looked on March 9.
I am not finished with the face on this doll. I have more work to do on the eyes. I think they are too dark now, so I'll lighten them up the next time I work on her.

Doll Done, Clothing Next, and Something Else, too
Here he is. Without clothes, and waiting.
Another thing I'm doing is having this blog, so far, printed into a book by SharedBook. I'd like to have a printed copy for each of my three grandgirls, but so far I've just ordered one. I've paid and they will send it to me in a few weeks; I will decide then if I want to go with them for the other copies. It's VERY cool to just have them arrange it immediately into a book for you to look at online! I deleted a few posts that were just reminders about some passing thing, and I decided not to have a Table of Contents, as it went on for pages and pages. So I am looking forward to getting the copy in the not-too-distant future.

Pictures of Latest Alabama Baby Doll, in progress
Yeah!!! I downloaded Picasa (it's free from Google) onto this little netbook,
and now I can post pictures via it, too. I may have posted this doll's
picture before-- in fact, I'm SURE I did. But here he is again, AND his arms!!
Here are his arms. Like his face and neck, they are cloth that has
been gessoed and sanded a couple of times and then painted.
Here is his face again. I don't like the color of his
cheeks--needs to be a ruddier color. Will fix,.

Doll has New Home
I sold one of my big Alabama Baby dolls yesterday. When they were shown at the Gallery last spring, I wasn't ready to give one of them up yet. But when someone indicated interest in this one, I decided I was ready to say goodbye and send her on to someone who really loved her. Not that I DIDN'T love her, but I have others and will make more, so I didn't NEED to keep her. So today she lives with Carol, who had a hard time making up her mind between this one and the other two.
