Several bags of "stuff" (ie, articles I can live without) have gone to the Salvation Army. I have contacted a person who is interested in an old compo doll to rehab, and when/if she chooses one (of the three), I will offer the other two to other people. So, I continue to keep on keeping on, which is the only way anyone gets anywhere! Would I prefer to have the Good Fairy come and do it overnight?!? Well, SURE, but this is REAL life as opposed to fantasy...................Popular Posts

Just caught up with my blog-reading and read this and your previous posts about clutter. Very honest and open of you, which in itself must be a huge step. My turning point came in a dream when a character from a science fiction show told me to get rid of 50% of the stuff in my house. In the morning when I woke up I looked around and said "50%--that's just about right". Took several years to get to the 50% point (and it has never happened in the studio, but that's not clutter, it's resources). I'm still a very messy person but now I keep my living room clean enough so that people can come in at any time and I'm not embarrassed. Hang in there, it WILL be worth it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, DragonPoodle. I keep on working on it, but have been so busy lately that I don't have as much time to devote to it that I'd like. Spring/summer is a distracting time, with not just "inside" stuff to do, but outside things, too. But the Starving Artists' Yard Sale is coming up and I'm hoping to get rid of a lot of excess stuff then. Like you, I don't like giving up my resources, which is mostly what I have. But some is not, and that is what has to go.
